EU Adopts 19Th Sanctions Package Against Russia
She confirmed that today the Commission approved the 19th package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
Details of the package will be unveiled later today by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas.

Earlier, Donald Trump urged NATO allies to halt oil imports from Russia.
President von der Leyen has stated that the European Commission will propose accelerating the phase-out of Russian fossil fuels , while the next package of EU sanctions will target, among other areas, Russian crypto assets, the banking sector, and the energy industry.
Meanwhile, the United States is pressing its G7 allies to impose tariffs of up to 100% on China and India for purchasing Russian oil. This demand is likely to face resistance in the capitals of G7 countries. Representatives of the bloc are currently working on a package of proposals expected to be finalized within the next two weeks.
