Irbid, Sept 14 (Petra) – The Irbid Chamber of Industry has wrapped up the first phase of specialized workshops on artificial intelligence as part of its ongoing efforts to keep pace with technological advances and adopt tools that support the industrial sector.
Chamber president Hani Abu Hassan said the launch of the AI workshop series aligns with Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision, which seeks to boost the competitiveness of the national economy and open new horizons for industrialists to harness AI technologies to improve productivity and business development.
He stressed the chamber's commitment to continue delivering targeted programs that strengthen the industrial sector's capacity and expand its ability to adapt to technological progress, thereby serving the national economy, achieving sustainable development and supporting growth. He added that the second workshop in the series will be launched next week.
For his part, the chamber's Director General Nidal Al-Sadr told Petra that the chamber is keen to provide advanced training environments that keep pace with rapid technological change and meet the needs of the industrial sector. He described the initiative as an important step toward equipping industrialists and youth with future-ready tools and enabling them to apply AI in boosting productivity and innovation.
He said the workshops supply the industrial sector with knowledge and modern technologies that raise production efficiency and improve product quality. They also help empower the local community, particularly young people, by giving them hands-on experience with AI applications, opening up new opportunities for creativity and innovation.
