Egypt's Foreign Minister, Pakistani Counterpart Meet In Doha


(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with his Pakistani counterpart, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, in Doha on Sunday, where they discussed bilateral relations and regional developments, Egypt's foreign ministry said.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of a preparatory ministerial meeting for an emergency Arab-Islamic summit.

The two ministers reviewed the overall bilateral relations between their countries, expressing their mutual keenness to continue cooperation to elevate ties in all political, economic, and commercial fields.

They also expressed their desire to continue cooperation within the framework of the Developing-8 (D8) group of countries, which Egypt took over the presidency of in December 2024.

On the regional front, the ministers condemned the“blatant Israeli aggression” against Qatar and expressed their full solidarity with the Qatari government and people.

Abdelatty also briefed his Pakistani counterpart on Egypt's efforts to secure a ceasefire and deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The two ministers exchanged views on how to deal with the serious political and security challenges in the region to contribute to achieving security and stability.
