Gaza Child Patients: Jordan A 'Source Of Hope' To Receive Medical Treatment
(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)
King Hussein Bridge, Sep.11 (Petra) - Gazans, who arrived in Jordan on Wednesday, as part of the 11th batch of the Jordanian humanitarian medical corridor for Gaza's sick and injured said Jordan is "their source of hope" for medical treatment from illnesses and injuries caused by Israeli aggression.
In remarks to "Petra" upon their arrival, Gazans noted Jordan is appreciated by the strip's people for its "honorable" stances in supporting the Palestinian people.
Gazans added that the Kingdom's positions improved their deteriorating psychological condition due to the war and the resulting destruction, food and medicine shortages, and loss of loved ones.
In the hall receiving Gazan patients and injured, 13-year-old Leen Ziada expressed the Gazans' pride and appreciation for Jordan's generosity by taking a commemorative pic, next to the King's photo, as a testament to His Majesty's generosity toward Gaza people.
Leen's mother expressed her happiness at their arrival in Jordan to treat her daughter, who suffered from a broken foot due to Israeli shelling. She noted patients trusted God and then the Jordanian medical personnel.
Falak Kahlout, accompanying her 9-year-old son, Mohammed, confirmed that her spirits had been lifted from the moment she entered Jordan, adding that she now has hope for her son's recovery at the hands of Jordanian medical teams.
The mother of 17-year-old Saif, who suffers from cancer, noted talk of the Jordanian medical corridor gives hope to people of Gaza to alleviate their pain.
On Wednesday, the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) evacuated the eleventh batch of children from the Gaza Strip, comprising 21 patients and 47 companions.
This operation is part of the "Jordanian Medical Corridor" initiative to receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
This initiative comes amid Jordan's continued efforts and firm stance, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to support Gaza people and assist them on various humanitarian and medical levels.
