SCZONE Showcases Investment Opportunities To Peru's Ambassador

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairperson of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), met on Tuesday with Miguel Yllescas Ortiaga, Ambassador of Peru to Cairo, to discuss avenues of bilateral cooperation and highlight the wide range of investment opportunities within the zone's industrial and logistics areas, as well as its affiliated seaports. The meeting was also attended by the SCZONE Chairperson's Adviser for International Relations.

Gamal El-Din underlined that SCZONE provides promising investment prospects backed by a strategic vision encompassing 21 diverse industrial and logistics sectors. He noted that the integration between the zone's industrial areas and six ports on the Mediterranean and Red Seas positions SCZONE as a vital link between production and global markets.

He also expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation with Peruvian companies and ports in sectors of mutual interest.

For his part, Ambassador Yllescas praised SCZONE's role as a leading regional hub for industry and logistics and as a bridge connecting global trade routes. He emphasised Peru's interest in forging partnerships with the zone, particularly in food manufacturing-a cornerstone of Peru's economy-as well as in ports and logistics services. Such cooperation, he added, could include sharing expertise and opening new markets to enhance trade between the two countries.
