American Board Opens First Branch In Jordan, Expands Innovative Training In Region

Amman, Sep. 9 (Petra) – The American Board for Innovative Training and Development (ABID) inaugurated its official branch in Jordan on Tuesday, in a ceremony attended by representatives from governmental, academic, and economic institutions from inside and outside the Kingdom.
Chairperson of the Board of Directors in the United States, Mohammad Abu Shabaa, said the American Board offers diverse programs, including specialized training courses, scientific conferences, and professional seminars, in addition to issuing accredited professional certificates in line with international standards.
Legal Director Mohammad Haddad noted that the Board's certifications are endorsed by the United States Department of State, courts, and state governors, and are recognized by multiple embassies and countries. He highlighted that the Jordanian branch is the first of its kind in the Arab world and the Middle East.
Director General of the Jordan branch, Ali Atoum, stressed that the Kingdom's strategic location and its pool of young talent make it a hub for investment in skills and entrepreneurship that meet global benchmarks.
Executive Director Reem Abu Haija outlined the Board's vision, mission, and objectives in promoting innovative vocational training, encouraging interested parties to explore more through the Board's official website.
Former Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education, Dhuqan Obeidat, said innovative vocational training opens new horizons for youth amid rapid technological change in labor markets.
Participants underlined the importance of competitiveness in advancing skills development and professional training to align with international standards, improve employability, and enhance graduates' competitiveness in the global economy.
The American Board, a United States-accredited professional, educational, and consulting institution, provides training and certification programs in areas including human development, media, management, trainer training, and handicrafts. It awards internationally recognized advanced professional certificates designed to strengthen global competencies.
