Commerce Minister Issues New Decision On Ration Card Fees Exemption For Certain Groups

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced the issuance of Decision No. (22) of 2025 by HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, which exempts certain groups from the fees imposed on the issuance or replacement of the ration card.
The groups benefitting from the exemption are people with disabilities, people with social security, the elderly (60 years and over), and retirees.
The reduction includes the free issuance a new ration card, and the free issuance of a replacement card.
The law is effective starting the next day after it is published in the official gazette.
