Kuwaitis Win 6 Medals At West Asia Fencing Tourney

MANAMA, Sept 3 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national fencing team snatched on Wednesday six medals in the fifth day of the West Asia Fencing Championship, currently hosted by Bahrain, raising the total medals to 31.
In the U-17 women's Sabre game, Sahar Al-Omair won the gold followed by Sohad Al-Naqib with a silver, while Farah Al-Rashidi had the Foil contest bronze.
In the U-17 men's Epee contest, Khaled Al-Hawli obtained the gold, while Mariam Al-Ghais and Fatma Qasem won the silver and bronze respectively in the same game.
Featuring 310 athletes from ten states, the championship kicked off on August 30 in Bahrain and will conclude tomorrow. (end)
