During the visit, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba is expected to present detailed plans aimed at deepening bilateral economic ties. Japan aims to increase its investment in India through official development assistance, focusing on startups entering the Indian market. The Japan International Cooperation Agency has already extended yen loans to startups based in Hyderabad.

The discussions between Modi and Ishiba are also set to include an exchange program for young researchers in artificial intelligence under the 'AI Cooperation Initiative' agreement.
