DPIIT Reopens Application Window For White Goods PLI Scheme Covering Acs & LED Lights


(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Sep 15 (KNN) The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has reopened the application window for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods (ACs and LED Lights), citing strong industry appetite for additional investment and growing confidence in domestic manufacturing of key components.

The application window will remain open from September 15 to October 14, 2025, on the designated online portal gov).

Applications will be accepted under the same terms and conditions specified in the scheme notification of April 16, 2021, and subsequent amendments.

Both new applicants and existing beneficiaries are eligible to apply, provided they meet the scheme's eligibility conditions and investment schedules.

Existing participants may also apply if they plan to shift to a higher investment category or if group companies wish to apply under a different target segment.

However, new approvals under this fourth round will be eligible for incentives only for the remaining tenure of the scheme, with a maximum of two years for new applicants and one to two years for existing beneficiaries depending on their investment group.

So far, 83 beneficiaries with committed investments of Rs 10,406 crore have been approved under the PLI scheme, which is expected to boost manufacturing across the AC and LED value chains, including components not currently produced in India.
