Amman, August 25 (Petra) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met on Sunday with the Amman Design Week (ADW) team, who shared their preparations for the upcoming edition of the nationwide event, set to return in the last quarter of 2026.
Joined by Princess Iman bint Abdullah, the Queen was briefed by the ADW team on plans for the event's fourth edition, which will be held next year with the support of a number of private and public sector partners under the theme of "Accumulations."
During the meeting, ADW Codirectors, Bisher Tabba and Sarah Hejazin, explained through a presentation how the event aims to deepen design's impact, build long-term relationships with the design community and build on collective, accumulated knowledge, drawing on the success of ADW's three past editions.
Queen Rania and Princess Iman viewed the prototypes of a number of original projects, created by members of Jordan's design community.
Launched in 2016 with the support of Her Majesty, ADW was founded to showcase the designs and talents of local, regional and international designers and establish Amman as a regional hub for innovation, expression and experimentation.
It also empowers designers and craftspeople year-round through learning programmes, direct mentorship and personalised guidance.
