Qatari Play 'The Ninth Hour' To Participate In Cairo Int'l Festival For Experimental Theatre
Cairo: The Qatari play 'The Ninth Hour' will participate in the 32nd Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre. With 13 Arab performances taking part, the 32nd Cairo Festival will kick off on September 1 and run for eight days at the Cairo Opera House's Grand Theatre.
Directed by Mohammed Al Mulla, the play won seven awards at the 37th Doha Theatre Festival. It revolves around the concept of repeated waiting. A mother and father live in constant hope of meeting their absent son, who returns to them whenever they long for him. The Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre, whose first edition was launched in 1988, is one of the most prominent Arab and international festivals in experimental theatre.
