France Confirms Iran, European Powers Talks Next Week
Paris: French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot confirmed on Friday that talks between Iran and European powers regarding the Iranian nuclear program will be held next week.
Barrot noted, via his X account, that he had an important call between his colleagues David Lamy, German Foreign Minister and EU High Representative Kaya Kallas, with his Iranian counterpart to discuss the Iranian nuclear program and the sanctions that European countries are preparing to reimpose on Iran.
Earlier Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone call with the foreign ministers of France, Britain, and Germany, as well as EU High Representative Kaya Kallas, to discuss developments in the Iranian nuclear file and the "snapback" mechanism.
