Brigadier bin Suwaidan warned against driving vehicles or riding motorcycles without a licence, or engaging in reckless and irresponsible behaviour on the roads. He stressed that the law imposes strict penalties on offenders who endanger their own lives, the lives of others, or public and private property, including vehicle impoundment, arrest, and referral to the judiciary.
He also urged parents to monitor their children, stressing that allowing minors to ride motorcycles without licences or take part in youth gatherings that involve dangerous stunts could lead to legal responsibility for guardians.“Parents have a duty to supervise their children, and a lack of awareness of their actions does not exempt them from responsibility,” he said.
Brigadier bin Suwaidan emphasised that Dubai Police officers will not tolerate such violations, underscoring their commitment to protecting road users. He called on community members to cooperate with police and report reckless acts through the“Police Eye” service on the Dubai Police Smart App or via the“We Are All Police” hotline at 901.
