After more than 15 years in the spotlight, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is entering a new phase of her career - one where she no longer shoots five films at a time. The actress, who has long been celebrated as one of South India's most versatile stars, recently opened up in an interview with Grazia India about how she's reshaping her professional choices and personal priorities.

Samantha revealed that she has made a deliberate decision to scale back her workload, embracing projects that truly resonate with her while prioritising wellness.

“I've reached a point where I do things I'm extremely passionate about, and that includes both fitness and films,” she said.“I've been a part of several films and series, but not all of them were passion projects. But now, every single thing I do, every business I invest in, every film that I produce, all have my heart.”

The actress also shared that she no longer juggles multiple commitments simultaneously - a common practice in her earlier career.

“I no longer shoot five films at a time. One thing I've realised is that I need to listen to my body, so I've reduced the amount of work I do. But now everything I do and put my energy into matters so much more. Nothing is for the heck of it. The quantity may have reduced, but the quality of projects has definitely increased.”

Even with her new mindful approach, Samantha's creative slate remains exciting. She recently appeared in a cameo role in Subham, a Telugu film she also produced under her banner, Tralala Moving Pictures. Last year, she starred opposite Varun Dhawan in Amazon Prime Video's Citadel: Honey Bunny, a Raj and DK spy thriller that marked her return to action-packed storytelling.

Looking ahead, Samantha is set to headline Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, another ambitious Raj and DK series currently in production. The ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. The high-octane drama is slated for a 2026 premiere.
