Marc Hudson
In May 2019 I completed my PhD, at University of Manchester. It investigated the strategic responses of incumbents to proposals for carbon pricing in the last thirty years of Australian political history.
I worked at Keele University, and affiliated to the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity. My work involves teaching on a history of protest course, researching activist biographies (interviewing long-term activists).
From November 2021 to January 2023 I was a research fellow at University of Sussex, at the Science Policy Research Unit, examining the politics of industrial decarbonisation policy, in the UK and other countries.
I have had articles published in academic journals: Energy Research & Social Science, Technology in Society and (as a co-author) in Global Discourse. A book chapter has recently appeared in a Palgrave Macmillan.
I used to be a physiotherapist (amputee rehabilitation).
For what it is worth, I think we're not going to get out of this mess, to the extent that I had a vasectomy back in 2004. True story.
