Govt Schools Must Become First Choice For Parents: CM
“Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world, and if we want real change in J&K, we must strengthen our government schools. They should not be looked at as fallback options but as institutions parents prefer for quality,” Omar said while addressing the 'National Education Meet' at SKICC.
The CM said both education and healthcare form the core of development , and called on officials to ensure tangible improvements in facilities. He added that the government has rolled out several schemes under the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) and would continue to invest in upgrading schools with modern infrastructure.
Highlighting the need for hybrid learning , Omar announced that new learning centres equipped with digital facilities would be set up in remote and hilly areas to reduce the urban-rural divide.“This will ensure that students in far-off villages get the same access to resources as those in cities,” he said.
On the occasion, the CM e-inaugurated 19 education projects across different districts, including upgraded classrooms, labs, and smart learning facilities. He said the government was committed to developing an“actionable roadmap” to implement NEP-2020 in a phased and effective manner.
