Amman, Aug. 14 (Petra) – Minister of Agriculture Saeb Khreisat on Thursday inspected the final preparations for the permanent Rural and Badia Products Exhibition in Amman during a field tour to review ongoing arrangements.
Khreisat was briefed by organizers on the progress made, the exhibition's remaining needs to ensure full readiness for visitors and participants, product display methods, and planned promotion and marketing strategies after the opening.
He stressed that the exhibition serves as an important platform to support and empower rural households and cooperative associations across the Kingdom by helping them market agricultural, food, and handicraft products directly to consumers, thereby enhancing food processing, absorbing agricultural surpluses, and increasing farmers' and artisans' income.
The minister added that the project aims to boost job opportunities in rural and Badia areas, support rural women, and contribute to national food security by improving product quality and raising competitiveness in local and foreign markets.
He noted that the exhibition will act as a link between producers and consumers and serve as a permanent venue for showcasing Jordanian products, ensuring a successful launch that delivers tangible benefits to producing families.
