“Together with Health Minister Viktor Lyashko, we visited the Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital, one of the largest medical facilities in the region, which is being actively renovated despite the war. The hospital has been shelled by the enemy several times. But it continues to receive up to 200,000 patients a year,” Svyrydenko said.
According to her, the hospital's reception and diagnostic department and emergency department have recently been renovated. In addition, modern equipment has been purchased and a rehabilitation center has been created, which is already accepting patients.
“Given the security challenges, a unique underground medical facility is being built here. It will have operating rooms, intensive care units, laboratories, and everything else that is needed. This will allow us to provide assistance even during shelling,” Svyrydenko said.
