DOHA: The Sheikh Abdulla bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center has launched a service for translating the Friday sermon into English at Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabr Al-Thani Mosque in The Pearl area.

This initiative comes as part of the Center's ongoing efforts to reach target audiences with services tailored to their needs across various parts of the country.

Dozens of worshippers attended the sermon translation, engaged with its content, and expressed their appreciation for this step, which enabled them to better understand the sermon and grasp its objectives.

They praised the Center's initiative in this regard.

It is worth noting that the Center offers Friday sermon translations in several languages, most notably Urdu and English.

Tens of thousands of beneficiaries across different areas of Doha benefit from this program.

For his part, Saleh Al-Marri, Director of the Center, explained that translating the Friday sermon into non-Arabic languages is part of a collaboration with the Department of Mosques to reach non-Arabic-speaking Muslims.

The goal is to break the language barrier to facilitate understanding and meet the needs of this target group so they may benefit from the sermon both in knowledge and reward through attendance and fulfilling the religious obligation.
