Lebanon's President Meets Jordan's Prime Minister
Beirut: Lebanon's President, Joseph Aoun, met on Thursday with the Prime Minister of Jordan, Jafar Hassan, who is currently visiting Beirut.
Following the signing of 21 agreements during the Jordanian-Lebanese Joint Higher Committee, the meeting discussed ways of enhancing relations between the two countries and developing them in many fields.
The two sides also discussed during the meeting the situations in the Middle East in which they affirmed Lebanon and Jordan's common stance regarding the Palestinian cause, the importance of a ceasefire in Gaza, returning fair and legitimate rights to the brotherly Palestinian people, and establishing an independent state, as well as the security and stability of Syria.
