"According to the second clause, within six months after the law comes into force, the SSU must investigate the possible influence of the aggressor country and ties with it. This applies not only to the NABU, but to all law enforcement agencies. We are okay with this. Let's conduct all these checks and close this issue in six months, present the results, and move on," he said.

Kryvonos separately explained that every time a NABU employee has to work with state secrets, they must obtain access from the Security Service of Ukraine.

“It is a kind of permission. In the state, everyone who works with state secrets fills out a corresponding application form and submits it to the Security Service of Ukraine. They check these forms and decide whether to grant this access or not. That is, everyone goes through this check anyway,” said the Director of NABU.

According to him, there will now be a reassessment.

Kryvonos expressed hope that it will be effective and that there will be no pressure.

“I don't have any serious concerns here. But if there is any abnormal behavior, I will definitely discuss it with the public,” Kryvonos assured.

As reported by Ukrinform, the new bill provides that polygraph testing will be conducte by the NABU Internal Control Department.
