Bannu Police Repel Nighttime Terrorist Attack On Basia Khel Police Station

Bannu police successfully foiled a late-night terrorist attack on the Basia Khel Police Station, repelling heavily armed assailants who launched the assault from multiple directions.

According to police officials, the attackers used sniper rifles and heavy weaponry during the assault, but were met with a strong and effective retaliatory response from the police force.

The exchange of fire lasted for nearly an hour before the terrorists fled under the cover of darkness. No casualties were reported in the incident, and police have launched a search operation to track down the fleeing attackers.

In recognition of the officers' bravery and swift response, DIG Bannu Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer Saleem Abbas Kulachi announced commendation certificates and cash rewards for the personnel involved in repelling the attack.
