(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIJING, July 23 (KUNA) -- China announced, Wednesday, it will hold a new round of high-level talks with the US in Sweden from July 27 to 30 in a fresh bid to ease tensions from the ongoing trade war between the world's two largest economies.
China's Ministry of Commerce said in a statement, reported by China Central Television (CCTV), that a Chinese delegation led by Vice Premier will meet with US counterpart for discussing trade and economics deals based on "mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation." in line with the agreement reached between the two sides during their June 5 meeting in London.
Both previously held two rounds of negotiations in Geneva and London, which helped ease the trade and tariff escalation tensions sparked by US President Donald Trump in early April. (end)
