Netflix has just dropped the first teaser for the highly anticipated Stranger Things Season 5, and fans are super hyped.

Released on Wednesday, the teaser picks up where the fourth season left off: Max (Sadie Sink) remains comatose in the hospital, with Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) by her side. Will (Noah Schnapp) continues to sense the eerie pull of the Upside Down, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is once again called to face her darkest foe, Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower).

Set in the fall of 1987, the teaser paints a grim picture of Hawkins. The town is reeling from the aftermath of the opened Rifts and now lies under military quarantine. The government's manhunt for Eleven intensifies, forcing her back into hiding. Meanwhile, Vecna has vanished, and the group's mission is clear: find and destroy him before he brings about a darkness greater than ever before.

As the anniversary of Will's disappearance nears, a familiar sense of dread returns. With the stakes higher than ever, the full party, including Mike, Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Robin, Hopper, and Joyce, must reunite for one last battle to save Hawkins.

The returning cast features familiar fan favourites: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke.

Fan reactions on X were immediate and intense. One user wrote,“STRANGER THINGS SEASON 5 LOOKS INSANE. INSANEEEEEEEEE.”

Another wrote,“Stranger Things took so long to make 34 episodes that 80s nostalgia isn't even as big anymore.”

In the UAE, Stranger Things 5 will be released in three parts: four episodes on November 27, three on December 26, and the grand finale on January 1, 2026.
