Arab Parliament Condemns Repeated Israeli Occupation Attacks In Lebanon, Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))
CAIRO, July 16 (KUNA) -- The Arab Parliament strongly condemned the repeated attacks by the Israeli occupation on Lebanese and Syrian territory, calling them a flagrant violation of international law and a serious threat to state sovereignty and regional stability.
In a statement on Wednesday, it warned that the continuation of these unacceptable assaults will further heighten tension and instability, and said they reflect a systematic policy to impose facts on the ground by force in total disregard of international legitimacy and the relevant United Nations and Security Council resolutions.
The Parliament expressed full support for Lebanon and Syria in safeguarding their sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of their citizens, and urged the international community to act urgently to stop this dangerous escalation.
It reiterated its strong rejection of any practices that infringe the sovereignty of Arab states, stressing that regional security depends on full respect for international law, state sovereignty, and noninterference in internal affairs. (end)
