Amman, July 16 (Petra) -- Typical summer conditions are forecast for Wednesday, with moderate temperatures over the highlands and plains, while hotter weather will prevail in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds are expected to be moderate and westerly, occasionally becoming active.
According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will rise slightly on Thursday, climbing 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average. The weather will turn relatively hot across most regions, and hotter in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will continue at moderate speeds, with occasional gusts.
Similar conditions are expected on Friday, with the heat persisting in southern and eastern areas. Winds will remain moderate and northwesterly.
By Saturday, a slight drop in temperatures is anticipated. The weather will return to typical summer levels over the highlands and plains, though hot conditions will continue in the Badia, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Winds will stay moderate and northwesterly, occasionally becoming active.
Temperatures on Wednesday are expected to range between 34 C and 23 C in East Amman, 32 C and 21 C in West Amman, 30 C and 20 C in the northern highlands, and 31 C and 19 C in the Sharah highlands. In the Badia, temperatures will range from 40 C to 23 C, while the plains will see highs of 33 C and lows of 22 C.
The northern Jordan Valley is forecast to reach 40 C during the day and drop to 25 C at night, with the southern valley expected to range between 42 C and 28 C. The Dead Sea will experience temperatures between 40 C and 27 C, and Aqaba will see highs of 41 C and lows of 28 C.
