ALTA Foundation Donates $10K Toward Texas Flood Relief

(MENAFN- PR Newswire) Recent storms brought historic rainfall and widespread flash flooding to the region, killing almost 130 people, damaging homes and businesses, displacing families and overwhelming local emergency services. More than 160 people are still missing. The Kerr County Flood Relief Fund provides critical support to nonprofits, first responders and local governments assisting with response, food, shelter, supplies and long-term rebuilding efforts.

"Our hearts are with the families in Texas who have lost or are searching for loved ones, homes and a sense of stability in the wake of this tragedy," said ALTA CEO Chris Morton. "This kind of rapid, community-centered support is what the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation was built to provide. Title professionals don't just protect property rights; they strengthen the neighborhoods they serve. We're proud to contribute to the Texas Hill Country's resilience during this difficult time."

"The needs in Texas are significant and urgent," said Foundation Board Chair Mary O'Donnell, president and CEO of Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. in Maitland, Fla. "Thanks to the generosity of ALTA members, the Foundation is able to act quickly and provide meaningful relief. Every dollar we grant is a step toward restoring stability for families impacted by this crisis."

Since October 2020, the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation has awarded more than $1.25 million in grants to 213 local nonprofits across the United States.
