Canadian Recording Artist Rawle Announces Multimedia Release: Echoes Of Rawle Ep And 7-Part Streaming Video Series
Rather than traditional music videos, each of the EP's seven tracks is presented as its own episode in an immersive, cinematic journey, echoing Rawle's entrance into the film world. The project stars actress, filmmaker, and producer Lisa Wu, who plays a spiritual guide leading Rawle through symbolic doorways between chapters. Wu also contributes voice-over and scripted dialogue.
"Lisa appears in every room-every video," said Rawle. "She's a guide through the emotional journey the music represents. Each song opens a door, literally and spiritually, to the next episode."
The video series is executive produced by Rawle, with the debut video for "Unconditional" directed by Greg Galloway, whose past work includes the romantic drama The Anatomy of Love, the suspense short 24 Hours, and BET's Lens on Talent. Galloway brings cinematic depth to the project's tone and narrative flow.
The music production on "Unconditional" is helmed by Grammy-winning Canadian producer Yonatan Watts, recognized for his work on Chris Brown's 11:11 (winner of Best R&B Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards) and Ariana Grande's Positions, alongside additional production by Toronto-based Joël St. John (known professionally as Gianelo Power).
Vocal production and engineering were handled by Andreena Miller, professionally known as The BLK LT$. A Toronto native, Miller co-wrote the track with Rawle and brings a distinct sonic polish and heartfelt vocal layering to the song. Miller has also collaborated with industry luminaries, including Drake, Future, Kodak Black, Coi Leray, French Montana, and DMX.
The complete video series, collectively entitled Echoes of Rawle, is being developed for distribution and streaming, with plans to pitch to platforms such as Amazon, Tubi, and others. The hybrid entertainment experience merges music, film, and narrative performance-meeting the demand for content that goes beyond audio and taps into episodic storytelling.
This release builds on Rawle's steady rise in the independent R&B/pop scene. His 2023 single "Broken Love" (featuring The X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro) surpassed 750,000 streams, while his 2022 debut EP Find My Way helped contribute to his overall total of more than 1.25 million streams across platforms.
Beyond music, Rawle is expanding his presence into film. He will appear in Lisa Wu's upcoming trilogy Scavenger Hunt, which features Bill Duke, Clifton Powell, Demetria McKinney, Tyler Abron, and Aaron D. Spears appearing in the first film. Rawle will appear throughout the Scavenger Hunt trilogy.
"This project reflects where I am spiritually, musically, and emotionally," said Rawle. "Echoes of Rawle is me leaving a trail through sound and imagery. It's about breaking the wall between music and narrative."
