Aircraft Crash in Moscow Region Claims Four Lives

(MENAFN) The Russian Investigative Committee confirmed on Saturday that a light aircraft crash in the Moscow region has resulted in the tragic deaths of four individuals.

The Yak-52 aircraft plunged into a field near Pano village in the Kolomna urban district after the crash. Upon impact, the plane caught fire, though emergency responders were able to extinguish the flames shortly after, according to a statement from the committee.

The plane had taken off from Severka airfield, but the departure was made without proper coordination. The crash occurred during a maneuver known as a "barrel roll," the committee reported, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

In response to the crash, the Russian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and any potential negligence or safety violations.
