Amazon Prime Day 2025 To Feature New Product Launches And Expanded Delivery Network

(MENAFN- KNN India) New Delhi, Jun 25 (KNN) Amazon India is expecting its upcoming Prime Day sale, scheduled from July 12 to 14, to set new records, a top company official revealed on Tuesday.

This year marks the ninth edition of the event and the first time it will span three full days in India.

“We expect this to be the biggest Prime Day in our history,” said Akshay Sahi, Director, Prime, Delivery and Returns for India and Emerging Markets.“The entire organisation is super excited. We're wrapping up preparations, our sellers are excited and we're inbounding all the inventory,” he added.

Prime Day 2025 will feature new product launches from over 400 brands. A key focus this year is faster deliveries, in line with the growing popularity of quick commerce.

Amazon recently announced a Rs 2,000 crore investment to expand its fulfilment centres and cut delivery times.

Currently, Amazon offers Prime customers delivery timelines ranging from same-day to next-day in top cities. Around 1 million products are available for same-day delivery and another 4 million for next-day delivery.

The company is also testing a quick commerce app in Bengaluru, marking its entry into the segment already dominated by local players.

To broaden its reach, Amazon restructured its Prime membership last year with three affordable tiers: Rs 399 for shopping-only, Rs 799 for shopping and Prime Video on one device, and Rs 1,499 for shopping and video access on five devices.

“We don't want to serve just a few million wealthy customers, but cater to all socio-economic classes in India,” Sahi said. While he didn't disclose exact subscription numbers, he mentioned the tiering strategy has performed“really well.”

With strong seller participation, expanded inventory, and quicker delivery targets, Amazon India is aiming for a milestone Prime Day sale in 2025.
