Air India Begins Resuming Flights To Middle East As Airspaces Reopen
Air India will "progressively resume flights to the Middle East from today (June 24)", with most operations resuming from June 25.
This comes as airspaces gradually reope in the parts of the region.
Recommended For You"Flights to and from Europe, previously cancelled, are also being progressively reinstated from today, while services to and from the East Coast of the US and Canada will resume at the earliest opportunity," the airline added.
On June 23, the airline "ceased all operations to the Middle East as well as to and from the East Coast of North America and Europe with immediate effect". Flights were re-routed to avoid closed airspaces.

This came after an Iranian attack on a US base in Qata . Iran said it was an act of self-defence in response to US attacks on Iranian nuclear sites, and was not an action against Qatar .
While some flights may experience delays or cancellations due to extended re-routing, the airline said it is "committed to minimising disruptions and restoring our schedule integrity."
Air India said it "will continue to avoid airspaces assessed as unsafe at any given time."
With safety and security of passengers, staff, and aircraft remaining top priority, the airline said it will keep passengers informed of any updates.
