Ramallah, June 23 (Petra) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a wide-scale campaign of arrests and home raids across the occupied West Bank on Monday, detaining 28 Palestinians, including a young girl and several former prisoners recently released in a prisoner swap deal.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, the arrests were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, al-Bireh, and Qalqilya.
During the operations, Israeli forces stormed residential neighborhoods, raided and searched homes, damaged property, and detained numerous residents for extended hours. Some detainees were subjected to field interrogations amid scenes of intimidation and heavy military presence, it added.
Meanwhile, the Committee for Services in Nour Shams Camp reported that Israeli forces also carried out extensive demolitions in the Al-Ayada neighborhood of the camp, located east of Tulkarm in the northern West Bank. The demolitions were accompanied by a large deployment of Israeli soldiers.
The committee stated that Israeli bulldozers began destroying homes and facilities in the area early Monday under what it described as "flimsy security pretexts," resulting in the displacement of thousands of residents from the camp.
