FM, Slovakia Counterpart Discuss Efforts Of De-Escalation In Region

Amman, June 19 (Petra)-- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi, on Thursday, discussed with Juraj Blanar Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the consequences of the risky regional escalation and attempts to put a halt to it and resume talks in order to resolve the Iranian nuclear issue.
Safadi emphasized the necessity for the international community to act swiftly and effectively in order to establish a permanent truce that would put an end to Israel's assault on Gaza and the humanitarian crisis it is causing. The two ministers also spoke about the situation in Gaza.
Safadi and Blanar underlined the Kingdom's and Slovakia's interest in strengthening their cordial ties while talking about ways to further bilateral and EU collaboration between the two nations.
