KUWAIT, June 11 (KUNA) - Kuwait's sky last night and through this evening witnessed the appearance of the "Strawberry Moon", the full moon that occurs in June. This year, it reached its lowest point in the sky in decades, marking the end of spring and the beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.
The moon does not appear strawberry-pink. However, it can take on a warm hue, often golden or orange, especially at sunrise, due to its low position near the horizon.
The name was originally linked to the wild strawberry harvest season observed by Native American tribes, particularly in the northeaster of the United States.
