Kuwaiti Poet Praises Works Presented At The Arab Musical Contest

TUNIS, June 3 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti poet Dalal Al-Maqhawi on Tuesday lauded the high quality of works presented at the 15th round of the Arab Music and Singing Competition, organized by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU).
Al-Maqhawi, speaking to KUNA, said she was elated with choosing her a member of the jurists' committee.
She has indicated jurists take into consideratios various factors, such true sensing of the music and the words, affirming that patriotism is the competition basic theme.
The ASBU had declared that Jordan, Egypt and Oman won the awards.
The winners will be honored at the 25th Arab Radio and Television Festival due in Tunisia on June 23. (end)
