Basketball: Al Rayyan And Al Arabi Set For Amir Cup Final
Doha, Qatar: All eyes of Qatari basketball fans will be on Al Gharafa Arena today, as it hosts the highly anticipated final of the 2024–2025 Amir Cup Basketball Championship-the 26th edition-set to tip off at 6:30pm.
The game will be a traditional, exciting, and competitive encounter between Al Rayyan and Al Arabi.

Al Rayyan reached the final after overcoming Al Ahli in the semi-finals, winning the first round, 88-79. Al Ahli won the second round 85-82, and Al Rayyan won the third and decisive round 106-73.
For their part, Al-Arabi Club qualified for the final after overcoming Al-Wakrah in the semi-finals, winning the first and second rounds 111-84 and 104-75, respectively.
The Amir Cup Basketball Championship was first held in the 1999-2000 season, and Al-Rayyan won the first edition of the prestigious cup after defeating Al-Arabi in the final.
Al-Rayyan are the team that have reached the final the most times, with 15 out of 26 appearances.
They also hold the record for the most titles, with nine, compared to five for Al-Gharafa, four for Al-Sadd, three for Al-Arabi, and two for Qatar SC and El Jaish.
