Tragic Collision On Indus Highway Claims 10 Lives, 8 Injured In Karak

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) Karak: At least 10 people were killed on the spot and eight others sustained serious injuries in a devastating traffic accident on the Indus Highway near Lucky Ghandaki in Karak district.

According to District Rescue Officer Atif, the crash occurred when a speeding trailer rammed into a passenger Hiace van, crushing it and trapping several passengers inside. The impact was so severe that rescue teams and residents had to launch an immediate and intense rescue operation to retrieve the victims.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, while the injured are being given emergency medical treatment. Authorities have warned that the death toll may rise due to the critical condition of some of the wounded.

The tragic incident has once again raised concerns over road safety and reckless driving on the busy Indus Highway, which has seen frequent accidents in recent years.
