Occupation's Authority Restricts Palestinians Access To Al-Aqsa For Friday Prayers

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, March 28 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation's measures prevented thousands of Palestinians from reaching the city of Jerusalem to perform the last Friday prayer of Ramadan through various restrictions.
The occupation required that the age groups designated for prayer obtain special permits that would allow them to enter the city, which is surrounded by the racist separation wall and military checkpoints that subject Palestinians to thorough inspection.
Earlier, Palestinians from the northern West Bank have been flocking to the Qalandia checkpoint north of the city, amidst strict military measures that have sent many of them, the elderly, back to their homes after they were prevented from crossing the checkpoint. (end)
