Dubai Police Refute 'Inaccurate Reports' About Missing Ukrainian Model

The Dubai Police have denied“inaccurate” news stories about a Ukrainian model who was previously reported missing. Reports carried by international media outlets suggested that the 20-year-old was missing for ten days and that she was found dumped on the side of the road. One report said she was“found battered” on a Dubai street.

“These claims are false,” the Dubai Police told Khaleej Times in a statement released through the Government of Dubai Media Office. Multiple reports about the incident in international media“contain significant factual inaccuracies”, the force added.

The 20-year-old model is currently recuperating at a hospital in Dubai. She is receiving medical care with her family present, the police said.

In the statement, the force clarified that the woman sustained serious injuries after entering a restricted construction site alone and falling from a height.

“We can confirm that the incident took place on March 12. Witnesses at the scene immediately alerted emergency services, and the individual was promptly rushed to the hospital, where she remains under medical care as she continues to recover,” the police added.

The force said it is continuing to work closely with the family and relevant authorities to provide all necessary assistance.“In accordance with UAE laws, all evidence and case details must remain confidential while the investigation is ongoing. As such, we are unable to provide further comment at this time,” said the police.

Security authorities in Dubai urged residents and media to refrain from sharing unverified information and to“respect the privacy of the individual and her family during this challenging time”.
