Schneider Electric Plans to Invest Over USD700 Million in U.S. AI Infrastructure

(MENAFN) French energy management company Schneider Electric revealed plans to allocate an investment of over USD700 million into the U.S. energy and artificial intelligence sectors, as stated in an announcement on Tuesday.

This investment will aim to strengthen the country’s energy infrastructure to support AI development, promote domestic manufacturing, as well as enhancing energy security by 2027.

"The announcement comes as rising regional demand grows across data centers, utilities, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure segments," the company explained.

The initiative is expected to generate more than 1,000 new careers in the U.S., including positions for next-generation manufacturing professionals, engineers, developers, and technical analysts, as noted in the statement.

The decision aligns with the growing regional demand in sectors such as data centers, public services, manufacturing, and energy infrastructure.

New facilities will be established, and existing ones will undergo renovations or expansions in Tennessee, Massachusetts, Missouri, Ohio, Texas, as well as North Carolina.

Schneider Electric’s total investment in the U.S. will surpass USD1 billion over the next 10 years, with USD440 million already invested since 2020 to enhance the country’s supply chain.
