Malaysia Airlines Returns To Paris
Dhaka: Malaysia Airlines has resumed services to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, the operator's 68th destination, with the inauguration of nonstop flights from Kuala Lumpur last Saturday.
The first flight, bearing code MH22, departed Kuala Lumpur at 23:45 local time on March 22 and arrived in Paris at 6:40 on the next day, as the airline stated in a release.
With its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 aircraft, the Malaysian flag carrier will operate four weekly flights from March 22 to 27 and increase the frequency to daily flights from March 29.
Flightradar24 data shows no other carrier currently operates a direct flight between the capitals of France and Malaysia, but the airline expects a strong demand for the route. The Paris-bound flight, MH22, and the return flight, MH21, encountered a passenger load of 95% and 98%, respectively, which reflects the operator's remark.
The oneworld alliance member has a long-standing partnership with its fellow member American Airlines, and that enabled passengers to travel further beyond Paris to four additional destinations in the US: New York, Dallas, Miami, and Orlando.
Kuala Lumpur-based Malaysia Airlines, a subsidiary of Malaysia Aviation Group, currently serves 68 destinations across Europe, Asia, and Australia with a fleet size of 84, comprising Boeing 737, Airbus A330, and A350 aircraft.
The airline is currently undergoing a fleet modernization program and has already introduced the Airbus A350, A330neo, and Boeing 737 MAX, with the intention to replace the older-generation aircraft of the respective class and types.
