Hungarian Foreign Minister Highlights Role of Turkey, Russia
(MENAFN) Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto emphasized on Friday in Ankara that it is unrealistic to discuss Europe's security framework without considering both Turkey and Russia.
Speaking at a shared press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Szijjarto pointed out that while some ideological extremists in Europe hold opposing views on this matter, their arguments are weak and not well-founded.
Szijjarto also expressed optimism about the possibility of peace in Ukraine, acknowledging that there is now hope for resolving the ongoing conflict.
He further stated that Brussels' pro-war stance should not obstruct peace negotiations between Russia and the United States aimed at stopping the war between Russia and Ukraine. Szijjarto added that Hungary strongly supports and hopes for the success of these talks "by every possible means."
