Dhaka: On March 19, IndiGo announced its upcoming A321XLRs will come in a two-class configuration, with 12 Business Class seats-dubbed 'IndiGo Stretch'-and 183 seats in Economy Class.
The low-cost airline will be receiving the first of its Airbus A321XLR fleet in fiscal year 2026.
The A321XLR is part of a 300-aircraft order IndiGo placed in 2019, which also consists of a mix of A320neos and A321neos.
India's largest airline also revealed the routes it would deploy the Airbus variant on.
It plans to deploy the A321XLRs on routes across Asia and Europe. However, the budget carrier did not name any city yet.
Nevertheless, the A321XLRs will be able to operate“underserved international routes” of up to 8.5 hours, claimed the airline.
