Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Begins Data Collection Of Afghan Students In Educational Institutions


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: The government has initiated the collection of data on Afghan refugee children enrolled in educational institutions across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as part of efforts to facilitate their repatriation . Official documents reveal that comprehensive information on Afghan students studying in government schools, colleges, and universities across the province has been requested.

To streamline the process, formal data collection forms have been issued, requiring details such as the student's district, school, and other essential information. Educational institutions have been directed to submit the complete data within a week.

According to sources, a significant number of Afghan students are enrolled in both private and public institutions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but the government previously lacked a consolidated database.

Officials indicate that the ongoing data collection aims to ensure an accurate record of Afghan students, facilitating their return in line with government policies. The move comes amid broader efforts to regulate and manage Afghan refugees residing in Pakistan.
