Indonesia sets up 353 tanker fleets to secure fuel supply for Eid al-Fitr


(MENAFN) The Indonesian government, through the state-owned PT Pertamina International shipping (PIS), has mobilized 353 tanker fleets to ensure the secure and smooth transportation of fuel and gas during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday.

As Eid al-Fitr, scheduled for March 31, usually leads to increased fuel consumption and travel. "PIS is committed to maintaining the security of fuel and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) supplies through sustainable operations. The 353 tanker fleets operate both domestically and internationally to support seamless transportation," stated Muhammad Baron, corporate secretary of PIS, in a Wednesday remark.

Additionally, 453 tugboats will be stationed to assist with shipping and port services, managed by Pertamina Trans Kontinental.
