Chile, Germany discuss Ukrainian war

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Chilean Leader Gabriel Boric along with German Leader Frank-Walter Steinmeier negotiated about the conflict in Ukraine, worldwide trade, as well as international steadiness in a talk in Santiago.

Talking at a shared news conference at La Moneda Palace, Boric stated that Chile is still highly worried about worldwide wars, such as the conflicts in Ukraine along with the Middle East.

"The events in Ukraine, as well as the recent developments in Palestine and Israel, are sources of great concern for us," Boric said.

He highlighted that respect for international law is the only way to constancy as well as long-term peace.

Boric additionally covered the Ukrainian war, underlining that any peace discussions must respect international law and also vividly consider Russia as the attacker while Ukraine as the victim.

"Achieving lasting peace and preventing such an invasion from recurring is only possible through this approach," he added.

"In these times, we must not only deepen our cooperation as friends and partners, but we are also compelled to do so," he noted.
