Qatar Golfers Claim Two Silver Medals At GCC Meet
Qatar golfers clinched two silver medals in the team and individual categories of the 27th edition of the GCC Men's Golf Championship held at the Royal Greens Golf Club in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Qatar team finished second in the team competition, won by UAE while Bahrain finished third. In the men's individual competition, Qatar's Daniel Sokolov claimed the second place on the podium. UAE's Ahmed Skaik won the gold while his compatriot Jonathan Selvaraj took the bronze. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Mohannadi, Assistant Secretary-General of Qatar Golf Association and Head of the National Team's Mission in Saudi Arabia, praised the results achieved by the Qatar players in the championship, noting that the championship is one of the strongest competitions in the region and witnesses the participation of elite players from all Gulf countries.
