Panama Carnival 2025: Thousands Flock To The Culecos In Cinta Costera, San Miguelito And Chepo

Panama Oeste: Without a doubt, in the province of Panama Oeste, the district of Capira is the main Carnival spot. In addition, it presents carnivals on par with any other point in the interior of the country. Hundreds of people arrived in Capira this Carnival Sunday, which, respecting traditions, featured the usual meeting between the tunas of Calle Arriba and Calle Abajo. Another district that is trying to attract attention during Carnival is Arraiján. The mayor of this district moved the location of its culecos and artists' stage to Hato Montaña, looking for more space for the event. In Western Panama, the Bejuco carnivals are also well-known, in Chame, a district that, along with San Carlos, has its queens and celebrations, but which are more popular for its beaches and rivers.
Pedasí, Los Santos: The Carnival celebrations are celebrated with great enthusiasm in Pedasí, in the province of Los Santos, where hundreds of people have gathered to enjoy the mojadera and the traditional turns of the queens around the Pedasí Park. Unlike other carnivals in the Azuero region, this event maintains a more family-friendly atmosphere, allowing locals and visitors to enjoy the celebration in greater comfort. The queens toured the park until approximately 4:00 p.m., and will return at midnight for the classic“topón,” an iconic moment of the festivities. Panamanian folklore and merriment are present in every corner, with traditional music and the joy of the attendees.
