
Al Khulaifi Highlights Qatar's Commitment To Dialogue, Peaceful Conflict Resolution
Munich: Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi participated on Friday in a session, organized by Arab Cultural House“The Divan” in partnership with Munich Security conference (MSC) on the margin of the conference, on Qatar's key role in promoting international peace and stability.
During the session, Dr. Al Khulaifi emphasised Qatar's steadfast commitment to dialogue and the peaceful resolution of international conflicts, always striving to provide a neutral platform for disputing parties. Regarding the Syrian crisis, Dr. Al Khulaifi explained that Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited Syria to enhance strategic cooperation with Syria as an important state in the region, after years of suffering by the Syrian people under the previous regime's oppression.
In reference to Qatar's efforts in Gaza, Dr. Al Khulaifi underscored the ongoing monitoring of the ceasefire agreement's implementation by both parties, despite the lack of trust and the escalating humanitarian crisis. He stressed that any mediation faces significant obstacles unless there is a strong international commitment to peaceful solutions, hoping that both parties will continue to fulfil their obligations as per the agreement.
He also highlighted Qatar's role in Afghanistan, emphasizing that the key lesson learned is that stability lies in dialogue and understanding.
